What fun we had this weekend, +more than I even expected. It started when they tried to climb in the boot of a taxi, "7 wont fit" he said then started the engine, the screaming and banging made him jump out to open the boot... should have yelled for them to shut up. But who wants to sit in the dark in the boot while you head to an unexpected destination. Better get a van I guess.


Look the forest is advancing, it seems to be taking over our house. I think that the whole house is suffering from forest love sickness, everybody has been involved in its creation, finding cardboard or just laying in the cave spaced out trying to get inspired to write its song, using it as an excuse is not allowed though. Time to get the ball rolling a little faster for our little film project.

Thanks to Sieta for making us two great montages of her trip to the TodaysArt Festival in Den hague, the press seem to have gone a little wild about Nouvelle Vagues live show, we knew these girls been rocking it for years, strange that I cant find a nice remix of one of there tracks though.


Fluokids are starting there own label finally after three years of hardcore blogging and posting over 2000 tunes they are now ready to make a profit from music. While us smaller less successfull blogs and artists have to deal with rediculous fines from the sabam for posting mixtapes and promoting the music that we love. If only they spent a little more time trying to find a way to make money from the consumers of music and not from its creators, who often cant put bread on the table for themselves let alone for fat cats behind some buro.

Finally a copy of the little boots remix from the annie mac mix I posted a while back, I love this tune it has been looping all morning. It has been like a marathon to get this blog together. +more posse has collected things from the whole of benelux and i had to travel to france zhile I was writing. Though I can think of a million things that I would love to add for you guys I will have to save them for next time. Monica please give me a mix tape I know you feel the love!!

I left early of course, too much attention can get sickening, and then you wonder if they are looking at you because your a freak or just cos they want you soo bad. Ahhh the head implodes and hurried goodbies lead to a swift exit, you dont want too feel bad in the morning. Still late for work though.

A few words about this mix:

Some people say reggae is boring... Well, better check out this mixtape! It starts with tunes from the late 60's and ends with the latest 2008 hits! I tried to get all the different kind of reggae styles in this mix like: dub, ska, rocksteady, reggae funk, roots, new roots, Dj's, ragga, raggamuffin, mento, etc. Just to give you people a taste of the wide history of reggae music. But to tell you the truth, 80 minutes is just not enough to squize 50 years of reggae one mix.. So look out for the next one!

Cardboard trees, green jeans and pink socks

Finally a new vision has popped into our head; what started out as some annoying cardboard in the hall way has turned into a crazy new video project. The team buckled down to work this afternoon finally posting the new front page to moreantwerp.com as we sat messing with photoshop, drinking coffee and tasting some green the ideas became clearer and the mind more foggy. We sat and wrote the first draft of the screen play, idillicly the budget would be huge showing off our prowess as directors, instead we'll glue the set from cardboard get our friends to shoot it and beg borrow and steal anything that is needed. Luckely New Rising Sun are playing at TRIX on the 30th of october which will make a great finally to this magical journey. Maybe I should get hold of Directing Movies for Dummys or something.


Its all ready friday morning and Im trying to remember specificly what happend since I last wrote, but as usuall its a blur of bong hits, tequila, tents and too much attention from too many people. Saterday night New Rising Sun went to play round the campfire at Vinger pop, apperently they had a great time with a bunch smelly hippies, but give four boys with guitars free booze all night and they will have fun standing naked in the artic circle.... Mels and I prefered to jump around like crazy electrick eels at the mirror tent. Stealthbombers hosted a wicked party looking forward to go to anather one sadly I cant read the website (its the in flemish).

Now its already this weekend, and I am looking forward to going and seeing the proxy play at cinema tomorrow night (hosted by fuck the kliche). Then ANTWERP IS BURNING !!! Prinz, Monica Electronica, Les petits pilous, Cassius and way more...... three stages of fun and frolocking in crowds of sweaty teens and I bet there all wearing purple and black!!! Oh I remeber that I have to wear my yellow jeans tomorrow! Can't decide what with though; maybe I will just wear them around my shoulders or something , like a scarf, or a turban???

Listening to Shantis Mixtape, its a great a look at reggae from the seventies through to now... I will post it tomorrow!!!

The days are getting shorter and the nights longer time to tuck in your ears and stay inside looking forward is a bit difficult there are many things going on Im trying to arrange all the dates. What a year so far let us see what is coming soon.

Just a quick note to say we are having some computer problems so Im not going to post the stuff from Laundry day untill next week. I had a sweet time... Thanks to everybody for looking after me especially to Smos and Baby B for the great backstage experiance, and DJ Prinz for a wicked after party, by 7 I was still standing but well MASHED!!

Im off to Gronyngan (not sure how to spell it) on friday to work in the wagamama there so I wont be in antwerp to party, I will be back on wednesday.

Reunion Tour

Yo Yo everybody!!

 Good news! I will be going down under for some +MORE journalism checking out cultural and artistic hotspots like Syney, Auckland, Wellington, Christchuch and Dunedin.

 Leaving Belgium on the 15th of October and returning on the 17th of November. I will be Uniting with all my old friends in Sydney for one week of mischief and mayhem crossing over To NZ starting in Auckland and working my way down to Dunedin.

+MORE guide to Groningen

Groningen is a bit of a treck from here in antwerp, not exactly the type of place you would go out to on a saterday night to make a change from the routine, nor would I go there for a romantic weekend. Yet anywhere I go Im still managing to have the best time of my life. I steped off the train into this little haven of beautifull dutch girls on millions of bycicles. Having avoided getting run over, I made it to the Wagamama, it is smaller and quieter than the one in antwerp, I think that I should collect them, maybe try and work in them all, at least mels is probably beating me he said he had worked in 17 now. BLURGH!
The dutch maybe dont know how to dress and look at me like Im an alien in my flashy T's, they do know how to party and I had a wicked saterday night. Ronold (the head chef) tried to get me pretty wasted, not so difficult and after lots of beers in the restaurant we hit the party next door. which to my suprise was full of hot chicks a wicked light show. Well known Djs Kraak and Smaak spun some tunes. Ha ha there up for MTV europe best band and they are getting supported by perez hilton on his blog. They rocked the party so heres there tune "squeeze me"

Then after getting bored of the dutch boys and girls trying soo hard to be cool and fashonable I made my way to the Pand48 where they had a wicked little electro party and we bounced the night away to a great set.

Also found some cool stuff you should visit and do if you ever end up there.
Saterday afternoon is the time to make your way to the main shopping street, just take a moment to stop and have a coffee and watch as the people pass dressed in there finery, then make your way to Puur for a sandwich, visit the purchaze store for your sneaker fix and supprisingly they have GOI GOI in the LEADS jean store, wicked. When you are awoken by the bells at 11 in the morning then you should make your way to the little cafe under the Martini tower and eat pofferchus in the sun (small pankcakes drowned in butter and icing suger).

We did get a chance to chill out and listen to some super groovy reagge on wednesday (shanti was playing - Izzy maze), hangin out like the don and then rocking out to the lilly allen remix. Tottaly cool!! He promised to write a guest blog for us to be posted on the 25th with some reggae tunes from his huge collection!

Everybody is talking about this video on the blogosphere today, Im not sure what to think, its great, its by The Streets. . But I was way more of a fan when he was talking about being blinded by the lights and fit girls who just know it all. I guess the UK is really suffering as finally the politicians are admiting to the recession, the credit crunch is really biting into the lives of the public. Life still goes on and Im still able to put food in my mouth and download free MP3s then life is cool.
